1. Overview & Concept

The PKA Universe today operates through a single unified console. As the operation scales across three distinct life domains, a planetary navigation model gives Will focused, purpose-built views while preserving the unified orchestration layer at the top.

Universal Members float across all planets:
Deep Cygnus / Desi / Prof Jiang / Neo / Sinbad / Delphi / Saul

The main Deep Cygnus console remains the universal bridge — the overview of all three worlds. Each planet sub-console surfaces only the team members, folders, tasks, and dashboards relevant to that domain. Items that span multiple planets appear in each, tagged accordingly.

Two Approaches Considered

Approach Description Pros Cons
A. Separate HTML Pages Four files: console.html (bridge), shore-party.html, vibey-league.html, personal.html Clean separation. Each planet is self-contained. Easy to open individually. Independent styling. Simpler file management. Page reload on switch. Repeated boilerplate. Shared state (dark mode toggle, etc.) must be synced via localStorage.
B. Single Page with Tab Switching One console.html with JavaScript tab routing. URL hash-based: #shore, #vibey, #personal Instant switching, no reload. Single file to maintain. Shared state naturally. Smoother UX. File grows very large (console.html is already 500KB+). Harder to hand-edit. All planet data loads at once.
Recommendation

Approach A: Separate HTML Pages — with a shared navigation bar header.

The console is already 500KB+ as a single file. Adding three planet views into one document would push it past 1MB and make maintenance painful. Separate files keep each planet clean and independently loadable. The shared nav bar links all four pages together, and localStorage syncs preferences (dark mode, collapsed panels). This approach also means any planet can be opened directly from Finder, bookmarked, or shared independently.

The navigation bar sits directly under the Deep Cygnus header on every page — three planet buttons, always visible, always one click away.

7. Visual Identity System

Each planet has its own subtle identity while remaining a child of the Rolex green + copper family. The core palette never changes — the planets simply shift emphasis within it, plus one new accent for Personal.

Planet Color Assignments

Shore Party

Vibey League

Personal

Visual Motifs

Planet Primary Motif Usage Feeling
Shore Party Compass Rose / Anchor Subtle watermark in header background. Compass needle as loading indicator. Anchor icon in nav button. Maritime command. Expedition authority. The captain's bridge.
Vibey League Shield Crest Crest outline in header. Shield icon in nav button. Borrowed from VL branding (folder 3_Vibey_League_Crest). Club membership. Prestige. Community belonging.
Personal North Star / Constellation Subtle star pattern in header. Star icon in nav button. Connects to the Cygnus (swan constellation) identity. Inner compass. Private sanctuary. Grounded and warm.

Typography Consistency

All planets share the same type system from the main console: Flapjack for the Deep Cygnus wordmark, Playfair Display for section headers, Inter for body text, and JetBrains Mono for data and code. The planet identity comes from color, motif, and background treatment — never from divergent typography.

Dark Mode

Each planet inherits the dark mode toggle from the main console. Planet accent colors adjust for dark backgrounds (lighter variants of each planet primary). The toggle state is stored in localStorage and shared across all four pages.

8. Implementation Recommendation

Shared Navigation Component

A small JavaScript file (shared-nav.js) dynamically injects the navigation bar into each page. This avoids duplicating the nav HTML across four files. Each page includes one <script> tag and the nav appears. The script detects which page is active from window.location and highlights the correct tab.

9. Phasing & Timeline

Phase 1: Static Build
Phase 3: Live Dashboards

Phase 1 — Static Build (Can start immediately)

Phase 2 — Data Integration (Requires mainframe.py)

Phase 3 — Live Dashboards (Requires external API keys)

Next Step

On Will's green light, Neo and Jony Ive begin Phase 1: scaffold the three planet HTML files with shared nav, planet colors, and static content pulled from the tagging matrix above. The Bridge (console.html) gets the nav bar addition. Three sessions, three planets, operational.
